The 1961 Bentley S2 Continental Drophead Coupé is one of the most exclusive and sought-after luxury convertibles of its era. Powered by the then-new 6.2L aluminum V8 engine, it represented a significant mechanical leap over its predecessor, offering roughly 200 hp and effortless cruising capabilities. he S2 Continental is a high-value collector's item.

The 1961 Bentley S2 Continental Drophead Coupé was produced in limited numbers for the left-hand drive (LHD) market, making original factory LHD versions significantly rarer and more valuable than their right-hand drive counterparts. Of the total S2 Continental drophead production, only a fraction left the factory in LHD configuration

H.J. Mulliner: Production was even more exclusive; of the 15 "Drophead Coupé" bodies produced by Mulliner, only about 7 were originally LHD and only 3 of those were convertibles

This model was not built by the Bentley factory but by prestigious coachbuilders like H.J. Mulliner & Co. and Park Ward

Production Scarcity: Only about 100 convertibles were produced across the S2 line, with specific configurations like the H.J. Mulliner 1-of-15 design being exceptionally rare and this is a 1 of 3 Left Hand Drive of the 100 convertibles

Mechanical Performance: It featured the L-series V8 engine, which remained the basis for Bentley and Rolls-Royce powerplants until 2020. It also came standard with power steering and improved air conditioning

Design: Known for its sophisticated lines and high-end materials, typical examples feature leather interiors (like beige or burgundy) and high-quality "Everflex" soft tops.

Notable Owners: A famous original LHD Park Ward example (Chassis BC99LCZ) was delivered new to basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain in 1961
